Terms and Conditions
These terms govern use of coverhorizon.com and the presentation of protection solutions under the CoverHorizon brand. The legal entity is CoverHorizon Assurance Ltd., registration number 756235985, registered through Law office Drummond, 1310 Boul. René-Lévesque Ouest, Montréal, QC H3G 0C4, Canada.
1. Purpose
The website provides information about four insurance areas and ways to request clarification. Submitting a form does not purchase insurance, issue a policy, confirm coverage or constitute acceptance of risk.
2. Pre-contract information
Before any insurance is purchased, the applicable product terms must be provided, including coverages, exclusions, coverage amounts, deductibles, limits, term, payment method, statutory rights and other information needed for an informed decision. The issued policy and applicable policy documents define the actual contract.
3. Displayed prices
Published prices correspond to the specific configurations described on each page and are not presented as ranges or “starting from” amounts. Each price identifies the profile or property, coverage amounts and assumptions used. Charges and taxes stated in the corresponding description are included in the displayed premium.
Changes in age, risk information, health status where legally relevant, occupation, property characteristics, coverage amounts, selected coverages, payment frequency or other risk factors may change the premium and eligibility terms. For health coverage, co-payments are shown separately when they are not part of the premium.
4. Requests and contacts
You should provide accurate information when requesting contact and should not submit information that is clearly unnecessary for the request. The contact details provided are used to respond to the communication you initiated and to manage steps related to the selected solution.
5. Acceptance and term
Information about a protection option does not mean automatic acceptance. Coverage depends on the product criteria and the applicable risk assessment. Term, renewal, suspension and termination are governed by the policy terms and applicable law.
6. Use of content
Website text, visual identity, structure and graphic elements are used to communicate the brand and may not be reproduced or used in a way that creates confusion about the origin of the services. Personal viewing and use of the information is permitted for evaluating the solutions presented.
7. Liability
The information provided is intended to present the essential elements clearly, but it does not replace the applicable policy documents. Coverage, benefits and limits are determined by the terms of the policy actually issued and the facts of the particular claim.
8. Force majeure and availability
Maintenance, infrastructure failures, security incidents, force majeure events or circumstances outside reasonable control may temporarily affect availability of the website and contact channels.
9. Changes
These terms may be updated to reflect legal, operational or commercial changes. Updates apply from publication of the revised version and do not retroactively alter rights under existing contracts.
10. Applicable law and contacts
Consumer relationships and insurance distribution are subject to the mandatory rules that apply where the product is lawfully offered. Questions about these terms may be sent to [email protected] or to 9187 Bd de l'Acadie, Montréal, QC H4N 3K1, Canada.
